NHS Trust, London, UK) assess current
practice with regard to fasting before
cardiac catheterisation. They conclude that
there is little evidence to support it and
propose that patients should be allowed
to drink clear fluids up to the time of the
procedure.

Fasting and cardiac catheterisation - should we be following the evidence?
